Beautiful! I remember going with my brother who is a flyfisherman to the Deschutes...well, I was mostly in camp, laying in a hammock, nursing a hangover...but it was still lovely!
Hey stranger...glad to have you back on line..you make me drool with envy at the beautiful Western landscape, what a beautiful canyon...hope all if well with you Charmaine!!!
The shadows on the canyon walls make them look even larger, while the smaller shadow on the left hides a spillway. What a beautiful waterway, such immense canyons we just don't see in Connecticut. The West Coast may be just more spectacular...
Was just up in Bend, Oregon a few days ago. Such a pretty place. My hubby and I went there to retrive the urn of his mother's ashes from the Deschutes Memorial Cemetary and Crematoria...we took them to Kansas where she was born and raised and placed her ashes alongside her husband's grave. It was a nice feeling to know their remains are now side by side. Wish all the many blog photos I took came out as lovely as yours. Guess some people are blessed and then there are those like me, who are all thumbs ! :)
Great shadows there, love the water flow, so calming and relaxing, beautiful scenery, love the open space and sky, thank you for sharing and enjoy your day :)
nice scenic shot..
ReplyDeleteOh, YES! terrific shot! And I've been on the Deschutes and it is just that beautiful! Love it!
