"Behold!"

Afternoon sunlight dances through window glass,
casting a shadow on Mark's Charlie Brown tree

Swift as a shadow, short as any dream;
Brief as the lightning in the collied night,
That in a spleen unfolds both heaven and earth,
And ere a man hath power to say, "Behold!"
The jaws of darkness do devour it up:
So quick bright things come to confusion.

~ William Shakespeare

  4. Oh, I like this so much. The soft shadows combined with the brisk outlines of the tree. The bit of repeated color, the way the window muttins divide the piece.

  5. The shadows are big, bold and lovely. As stout as the shadowy sash is on the wall, they don't overpower Charlie Brown's simple tree. Happily, Charlie did understand the reason for Christmas at the end - it wasn't the too commercial holiday, it was his simple tree . A nice sentiment!
