I became a vintage hound after the movie Pretty in Pink and haven't looked back (...or is that forward?) since! Awesome finds!

The difference may have been that not as much of it was SOOOO mass produced. Smaller quantities. Perhaps people were willing to spend more money for quality then, too. ???
