Emotional Rollercoaster

Yesterday, Mark & I drove home from Portland. I'd been gone for 9 days, and after much deliberation, decided to leave Ommie and spend time with my husband (and cat). We had to chain up to get over the mountain. A lot of holiday traffic, snow-packed/icy road, snowstorm, low visibility and freezing windshield wipers. Not a fun drive. The passenger side of the windshield (my side) kept freezing up, making it impossible to see. I finally decided to just shut my eyes and trust Mark and the snow gods.
Hours later, we arrived home, safe but exhausted.

Last night, Ommie was rushed back to the emergency room. She is spending Christmas in the hospital.

This has definitely been a stressful time for all of you but hopefully sleeping a night in your own bed made at least a small difference to your overall health. I wish you a very, very merry Christmas and send warm & fuzzy hugs your way :)
