Our former laundry room. Color choices (walls are Benjamin Moore Lime) resulted from lack of light as there were no windows in the basement. The use of bright wall color on both the walls and ceiling visually lifted the space. Before we remodeled, we referred to it as the dungeon. Low-ceiling (couldn't even use canned lights) grey cement walls and floor, exposed plumbing and wiring...such a depressing place.
The re-do still makes me smile.

Wow! What great use of colour to lighten the space! And no choice but to smile when doing the laundry ☺

That's your new laundry room? Gorgeous and joyful!
p.s. Who is your artist blacksmith husband?
Wow-wee! I was all excited because my husband painted our basement floor deep red! Now it's obvious that we could do with a little more work. Congrats on being published! Great work on decorating.
You're famous! This is so fantastic, what a dynamic space! I love the repetion of the circles everywhere from the fabric to the paint to the baskets right down to the washing machine window. You are so right - there would be no way to be unhappy in this space! Even just viewing it I am smiling :)
thanks everyone
it was a very fun room to design
WOW!That's all I have to say...
Boy-oh-boy! That's an awesome room!

Oh WOW.
That's what I want mine to look like. Cement and plumbing is depressing.
Beautiful job!
that looks like the EXACT layout of our old laundry room!

Wow, I love it! Especially the floor and the somewhat matching ironing board cover! Really wonderful. I think this would almost make me enjoy doing the laundry!
