Imminent is a definite, forceful word. My grandmother's Hospice nurse used it today....her death is imminent.

Ommie is hallucinating. She does not recognize family members. She is restless....pulling at the bed covers. Her medicine was switched again today. Trying to find the right combination to keep her comfortable. We don't want her to be in any pain.

I sit, 5 hours away in winter weather, and wait.

We've experienced the death of my beloved grandfather and his transition through hospice care. My prayer is that your loved one will find comfort and peace.

Hey Charmaine, I am so sorry for the emotions you are going through right now. The X-mas before my grandmother passed away we spent the holiday at the beach. The whole family awoke before 6 am for some odd reason. We sat on the couch with my grams and watched the moon set on the ocean. It was spectacular and my most favorite memory of Grams. I am glad you all were able to share the time with Ommie. Love you much. Ames

We went through the changing of meds & halucination/restlessness with all of my grandparents so I know what you are going through, truly. Hang in there, at least the nurse is on your side not wanting her to be in pain. We're all here for you. ~ Jenn
