Interior Design student work

"A good decorator not only plans and schemes, but he also knows how the job is done."
- Albert Hadley

The following images are from an Interior Design student's work circa 1948. This was part of the package I received in the Vintage Indie Swap from my secret partner.

Very fun to look through....especially the budget!

Fun stuff! I wish those prices would be revisited.

Ha. Very cool! I bet that was a fun exchange for the swap. And you're right...the budget *is* fun to look at. I need to make one of my own and see if I can beat those prices. LOL.

I do love looking at that older stuff. The budget is the best! I have a copy of an old carpentry quote from about 60 years ago where the carpenter was charging $2.10 per hour for his labor.

That's so cool! I guess a good colour palette is timeless ☺

All old is new again it seems! I would have that entire plan from the layout right down to the fabric choices. But especially the budget :)
