Vintage Swap

My Vintage Indie Spring Swap package from my secret partner arrived!

It was so fun to open...look at how beautifully it was wrapped!

Lots of ephemera....

An Interior Design student's Home Furnishings class work from the 1940's...(how appropriate is this for me, an Interior Decorator who specializes in vintage!) I'll post more pictures of this at some other time....the decorating budget is hysterical!

And lastly, the mother lode of embellishments, ribbon and trim!

What a fun package! There was so much more though that isn't pictured. The items were wrapped in newspaper from the 1940's, and old dress patterns. (Isn't that clever? Much more interesting than tissue.) The wide ribbon adorning the gift-wrapped package in the top picture was hand painted. I want to wear it as a belt! Or maybe a Miss Universe sash! Ok, maybe not. But I will be saving it. It's gorgeous....perhaps a table runner....

My dearest Diva, tks for stopping by, and yes, there will be a beautiful kebaya for a beautiful you, no problem, and you're so lucking to get this vintage swap box, looks like a whole box of goodies there. I am so glad to have met you, a wonderful friend and so glad to know so many things via your blog, and lastly, even happier that you received the postcards as I was kinda worried that no one will receive them, considering snail-mail is not reliable. Have a fantastic weekend :)
