Remember the dilemma I was having regarding the prominently placed electrical panel box? The box that is located in my dining room for some reason.
I found a vintage African Kuba cloth from Rayela Art, added a raw silk border and have it hung temporarily with pins. (I know this blacksmith....I've got a custom rod on order.)

What a wonderful idea..no wonder you are so good at what you do...
I love your solution :)
This looks great! A perfect solution!
That looks just perfect!
I've been looking for a print and a frame big enough to cover mine for some time. Why must they put those things in such conspicuous spots?!
That is a great idea!
You are lucky to have a box in your house. All new houses have to have them outside so when we throw one we have to go out there.
Oooh I like that! & you runnin' around the house bangin' on a djembe would set that off just perfectly!
Looks like you changed the colour of your wall also. From orange to...ummm...not orange? Maybe? (I've lost my glasses. Again!)
that's a cool and ethnic looking piece of cloth, very nice and such a creative way to cover up :)
Wall color is the same...it's my photography skills that are lacking.
Ralph Lauren Ballroom Gold from the Regent Metallic collection at Home Depot. (I love the look of this metallic paint, but the paint itself is horrible, runny, took 3 coats to cover.)
Perfect!
that will look great. Nice having an "in" with relatives, huh?
Looks wonderful! Does your "relative" make you wait for your personal projects like mine does? :)
you know what they say about the cobbler's children never having shoes....
Wow! It's gorgeous! Simple, but intricate... great choice hun!!! ♥
P.S. I just added a new weekly Wednesday game to my blog, come see when you have the time!
:D
alot better, lovely
Much better than the grey box in the wall!!! So what is the scoop on the landscaping...I'm dying to see more pics outside with your stone project too.
first the TJ label, now this! you are a genius!
Great solution to a common problem. I get so tickled every time I sign on to your blog, I LOVE that banner!
Mmm. I would have scratched my head a bit trying to work out what to do with that. And then probably left it not knowing what to do ..
Good solution!
that looks great, the rod will finish it off nicely I think. I've just done a liitle post about the circles I did for you and added a couple of links to your blog
: )
that looks amazing! u would never know it was under there!
Very clever solution!
We had the same dilemma except that ours is bigger (if you can imagine) and next to the kitchen sink. My husband bought an old shutter at the Restore and made a door for it.
Thanks for stopping by, glad Janell passed you along! This is a beautiful coverup! Too often those boxes show up in the worst of spots!
