Landscape Plan

We finally have our landscape plan from Heart Springs Landscape Design. Time to start moving dirt! All images are copyrighted.

The simple version...

and the more elaborate version which changes the whole driveway and would, I'm sure, cost twice as much (guess which version I prefer...)

Plant legend

Now we just need to come up with some $ for plants!

Word of advice. We went with the most elaborate plan (of the 3 bids)we received, and aren't super happy with the results. I'd start with the more simple version and add to it yearly. You are going to have to find out what plants really work, aren't eaten by deer (or other furry creatures)anyway. Think back to your Silverton garden that became more beautiful over time, and be patient. Love the bike by the way!!

I vote bottom plan! We can't help it we have good taste.

The only plan I ever managed with mB garden is to try and win the battle of the Weeds every year! You know I think I may have managed it this time as there are definately less than last year. The bottom plan and I agree with Chantele's reasons. Best of luck with it all.

Lilac is my favorite, too. Glad we'll be able to have some, even if it's not the kind I'm used to from the Willamette Valley.

and Mrs. French...it's only money!

We're awaiting designs for our backyard and I just KNOW I'll want the more costly one. Enjoy!

At first glance I thought your post said, "Zombie escape plan".

Plants, zombies...it's almost the same thing.

Either way, its going to look great!

We have 5 acres, but are only landscaping the area closest to the house (because I really dislike gardening). The rest will be native plants like sage brush, desert grasses & rabbit brush.

how exciting, whichever plan you go for the plants look amazing, I love the colour scheme. And your bike looks great, you'll get a good workout on it even if you just go to your mailbox and back each day. 2.5 miles??? what a nightmare!

Wow, actually both of these are wonderful designs! I don't know much about most of those plants but a driveway redesign would be very elaborate and could be quite expensive. Is there a middle ground they could achieve with some compromise between the two designs that would not be a complete redesign of the yard & driveway but could still give you the overall feel you are looking to achieve? the second design is very light on the driveway area, does it wrap around the shop? Good luck deciding girl!
