A new bike from Sears

is being shipped to my house!

Maybe because it's from Sears...maybe it's the fact that it is a bike, I don't know... but I feel like a kid.

The main reason for the bike is mail collection. (I will be attaching a cute basket, and very possibly, a bell) Our mail box is inconveniently located 2 1/2 miles from our house. This will be much better than walking the 5 mile round trip.

Can't wait!

PS: nope...didn't come in any cool color...just what is pictured....sigh

Did they not come in pink?
That's a cool looking bike. Can't wait to see the photo with the basket attached. Cycling is heaps of fun. Except for hills. Going up...Ugh! Going down...Woohoo!

PS - Don't forget to wear your helmet!

I have to clean off my bike and get it ready to ride. Sadly, I haven't ridden it in a few years. I was pregnant, then I had my daughter and that summer we were moving so it was in storage, and so it remained. Pregnant again last summer. No more excuses, I want the wind in my hair again!

A basket is the ultimate accessory and will make this bike uber-cool.

Mine has a banana seat with neon green and yellow flowers... but no basket. :-(

Blue is nice! Very retro.

Wow, that is a distance. I'm sure you'll enjoy riding it even further than the mailbox!!!

I love the bike! I cycle to my post office twice a week and take the long way. After all, I have to get rid of this "etsy butt" somehow.

Thanks for stopping by my vlog.

Great idea to cut down on time for the round trip. It will be great exercise and fun too!

Do you plan to put on a basket with those little plastic flowers in various girlie colors? What about a bell? I think feeling like a kid is the best, adults are too boring sometimes. ENJOY IT!!

Jenn...no plastic flowers, just a cute basket. I have a wicker one that I'm going to try...not sure if it will hold up, but better than buying a new one.

I want a bike like that! I've always wanted a vintage looking bike but modern. Yours is perfect, can I have it?

Check the Sears website!

I looked for two months on Craigslist...couldn't find one in my price range in this area. (Found lots of them in Portland, but a 300 mile round trip to pick up a bike didn't seem smart.)

Sounds like the perfect reason for a new bike!

Bummer it didn't come in pink!! So cool. I have a couple old bike baskets when yours wears out.. go figure.. will you get those streamers for the handle bars?? I can just hear your neighbors as you speed by.
Glad for you!
JOY!
PS you are a kid...

Whoooo Hooooo. I envy you! A bell would be so cool. By the way, I tagged you with the "4 things" tag.

Wow! I thought it was far to our mailbox and it's only 1/2 mile away! LOL One of the reasons we decided upon this neighborhood was the CCR's about no loose dogs--I could see many enjoyable walks down to the mailbox. Boy, was I ever wrong! It seems that every person out here has a dog that lays in wait for a person to walk by so they can charge you. You are SO lucky to be isolated like you are!

Actually, I was kind of wondering what the neighborhood dogs would do as I cruise by on my bicycle....a chase? Yikes!

Oh Diva....The bike is too cute! I love it!!! And there's nothing wrong with a little blue.... looks almost identical to the one parked behind my mom's house that belonged to me (and yes, mine still has the basket...alas, no bell). I am thinking attaching some playing cards with clothespins to the spokes should help your ride sound a lot more cheerful and excite any neighbors you might have, too! Well done Diva!!!!! I want to ride!
Let's go to the store and get some banana popsicles while we're at it!

I am jealous. All I wanted was a bike for my anniversary...don't think it is going to happen though. Maybe one day! Then I can move out there and we could go on bike rides! Cool!

Mrs. French,
As long as the ride is flat...I'm in!

Hey Diva, I have a similiar bike but it's light blue. Has 2 baskets & a bell ! I love it too & when I ride, I send out tele-messages - hey everyone, look at my nice bike with the baskets! I rode it last Sunday, along this lane that was lined with cherry blossom trees & it was snowing pink petals! I had the camera so no one took a pix of me & my bike...sigh...
