Filling up the yard-o-dirt

This is what $500 worth of trees, shrubs and perennials looks like...

Yikes! Hoping it will at least fill up half the dirt...

They always look smaller as babies. Just wait until they're teenagers and start giving you attitude for cutting them back to keep them in control :D Can't wait to see everything in!!! How's the back?

Hmm, I spy some sage and is that lavender as well?

Are you going to have to mulch as well?

luuuuuuuuuuuccccccccccckkkkkkkyyyyyyy!

Now you can get down and dirty... literally! What fun to plant a garden from scratch. Except when it's 10000000 degrees... you will have to get out there at the crack of dawn!

It looks like today will be the perfect day to plant! The rain this evening will make them feel right at home :)

12 years ago I was having a similar experience with a new and barren yard. Luckily things grow and expand, (at a seemingly amazing rate) and in a few short years you will have big trees and full shrubs and perennials out the whazoo! Have fun planting!!

First thing I do when we move to any place is plant trees aren't they worth it? Now you can hug trees!

We'll wait for it to grow and bloom. 500 for these few plants, is it expensive by your standard?

WOW $500!! But money well spent!! If you drove around looking for a deal think how much it would add up!! I like your idea for containers for the RV. Hope your holding up in the heat.
JOY!

OMG, you should move to Tukey!!! With such an amount of money you would fill your garden with everything you want!

I have a feeling that the desert will be blooming soon with you on the case.

LOL I believe it - $500 doesn't go far when it comes to landscaping. I have my eye on a single kwanzan cherry tree - the kind with the big pink double flowers that hang in clusters - and one baby tree is $175!
Most of your plants looks like they should spread and fill in within a few years. It will be worth it in the end.

Gosh that seems very expensive. Not that I often purchase plants so I've no idea about prices anyways. They'll fill your patch of dirt easily. They will grow & get big & spread. Unless of course you kill them all ;)

That reminds me, I have to get up early and plant the three pots of flowers I bought this evening....I'd better toddle off to bed.

Looking forward to seeing these plants planted, and start to grow and flourish...
