After reading a post about hammocks on Rayela's Fiber Focus, I finally decided it was time I had one. Ideally, I'd prefer one like this:
Practicality took over and I ordered this one instead:
But I'll envision myself spending time reading in the summer breeze, looking like her:

I love hammocks. Ours saw some nice use this weekend.
I love hammocks I always want to buy one never dare to... maybe one is in store for next summer. I do like the old one on Victorian picture.
Ah yes, I love your imagination!
I always forget to put out our hammock..
hahaha...you sassy little hammock vixen! I love the multi-striped. The only way to do a hammock though is with a tropical beverage in at least ONE of your hands!
Love the victorian ones too! Glad you found yourself a modern day one though and bought it. I found a great cot at a yard sale but now I'm thinking a hammock is a good idea too.
Hey, how did the picture of me hit the net?! The Mr. said he wasn't gonna show anyone.
Hammocks are fabu. I had one and loved it so much. Now I have hammock-envy.
I have always adored hammocks and never actually had one of my own. Yours looks perfect. We want to see a pic of you in your new one after it arrives! ;)
Ah, the perfect addition to a newly completed yard. You will enjoy hours of naps in this I hope :)
Summer and hammocks go hand in hand. Your choice is so cheerful..I imagine it will do a lovely job of brightening up a nice shady spot in the yard.
I have wanted a hammock forever...I have visions of B and I under a shade tree, in a hammock reading books. Thanks for conjuring up those thoughts today.
Oh crap I LOVE those pictures!
I too would love a rose covered hammock.
sassy little hammock vixen indeed!
I want a hammock too! Love the victorian pics
you are making good headway in your garden, you certainly deserve that wonderful hammock after all that hard work
: )
oh, now I want one :)
Lovely pictures! We had a hammock in our yard for years, till the weather got the best of it. Loved it! Time to get another, I think.
I'm getting a real visual here...where's the umbrella drink...

ahh...this is one thing I really really and desperately want to have in my garden, but again, we dont have very nice ones here. Come to think of it, I hardly see any hammock here...must be the hot weather!! We'll wait for the update on your hammock :)
Loving the vintage hammock pics---so sweet!
But I must say, your choice is gorgeous, very smart with the stripes.
Happy hammocking!
Beware of the hammock...it's a trap! :o) I find that once I get in ours, I will lay there for hours and hours. I would probably never get up if I had a tasty beverage/food stand next to me. lol

Good for you!
I have always wanted a hammock, too.
(Why have I denied myself this simple pleasure, I now wonder...)
Enjoy!
I love all three for all three of the houses I have (just teasing). I was at the flea market a couple weeks ago and we were thinking a hammock was very much in need as a staple for our space! Nice entry - thank you!
Love those vintage photos. It's getting a bit chilly in Australia now so i will be jealous of you lying in your new hammock lazing in the sun!
I love the hammock you ordered. Looking forward to seeing the pics of you in it with your little umbrella drinks :)
I have a few hammocks, all of them from the Mexican Hammock company. They are the kind you lay across rather than along, so they are more stable and you cam lay flatter in them. I find them more comfortable than the length wise ones.
Oh that last image is so dreamy!!
