Interior

I took some interior shots yesterday...trying to get some good ones for an upcoming blog interview focusing on green design. (Check out The Organic Mechanic...this is the blog my interview will be on...within a month or so.)

I determined I needed professional photography help. I'll be able to use the photos in my portfolio, for ad work, and my design website (when it gets up and running). So June 23rd is the day...professional photoshoot at my house with my friends Donna Pizzi and Philip Clayton Thompson. See their website here.

I think a lot of your items and arrangements tell stories that are lost in large scale interior shots. I'd love to see some cool detail shots in the mix. Food for thought!

Awesome house, love the open space especially the kitchen. However, Asians hardly have open concept kitchen, most have 2,one for wet (heavy cooking) and another for dry (microwave cooking, dining etc. Most of the dishes we cook requires quite a lot of frying and very smoky...I can imagine my whole house in smoke hehehe..

Oh, very cool! Can't wait to see the interview - and good luck with the shoot! I think those big professional lights are a must to take really good interior shots - I've tried many times and always fail!

I love the light in your home. Along with the natural elements of the design. Donna and Phillip are going to love all the things that you have done. It should be a Fab shoot! Really look forward to seeing the results. Happy Trails

very cool - and you'll notice the difference right away. Lighting and set design are such an art. I have friends who do this kind of thing (you get to know a lot of photographers in the ad business). It's totally worth the money.

Your professional photos are going to rock, their work is amazing! I especially loved some of their Photoshop/retouch digital images. The school with mountains & a new reflection on the windows was very well done. It reminds me of those cartoons in the paper "find the differences"

Can't wait for your write up in OM!!

Your home is lovely! I can't wait to see the difference between your "good shots" and the pro's. Since as you know I would like to...or should I say, you would like me to (lol) post some photos of my homes interior.

i love to see the interiors of people's home you can tell so much about the. Your home is beautiful. Is that your cat looking out the window?

Yep...that's Cammie. She loves to look outside. We had a stool under the window, but she groaned every time she hopped down. (She's old and a little....porky) She finds it much easier to go up the steps to perch!

It's really difficult to picture something the way you see it and the way you want others to see it. Have fun during the photoshoot :)
