Yesterday, while driving to Bend, I watched the sun rise behind Smith Rock and through the California fire haze.
I was lucky enough to be able to spend over two hours with Mrs. French, the delightful author/photographer of the blog Bliss.
What fun!
Update: Ok...the details of the morning...
Mrs. French and I met at Bellatazza, a coffee shop in downtown Bend, Oregon.
She was vacationing South of Bend, I live North of Bend, so we met half-way.
She's delightful. Just like her blog persona. There we no awkward I-don't-know-what-to-talk-about moments. We chatted away for over two hours. Our topics ranged from how we met our husbands (me-blind date, Mrs. French-dancing), to talks of cats (she has 3, I have 1), blogging (of course), photography, living in Central Oregon (I do, she wants to). The initial loneliness of moving to a new town and not knowing anyone. Exercise, desserts, family, friends.....
Just lovely....
Happy Fourth of July!

Oh gosh, how cool! So glad you enjoyed your get together... what fun! ♥
How FUN!!! Glad you two had the opportunity to meet. Isn't it fun to see what someone is like in person after you have read their blog and have imagined what they are like? (Like reading a book, imagining the characters and then going to the movie... ) Hope you and Mr. Diva and KittyGirl are all keeping that moat around your hacienda filled with water so no burning anything can get close! (Don't make me stop this car and come over there with my hose!)
Happy 4th Patriot Diva!
