On the way home from a bridal shower last night. The sky was lit with ribbons of red and pink. Hard for this non-photographer to capture the light.
Glorious backdrop to the mountains though....
one day I'll get a panorama shot that shows all of them...I think there are 10 mountains visible (I haven't counted).

You *did* capture it! Very nicely. I see the ribbons in the first photo, and in the second they are beautifully blended.
Lovely view!
For a 'non-photographer' I think these are beautiful photos :)
Nice blog! The beautiful scenery shown in your pictures is one of the many reasons people continue to buy Bend Oregon real estate.
Oooooo...aahhh...
I love the simple and grand beauty of a sunset like nothing else in this world. Gorgeous!!!
If one has never lived in or near the mountains, you have missed a lifestyle that is so mesmerizing...so grand...but then again so is a sweet corn field, especially at dinner, had my first of the season yesterday and was transported to food paradise...the FOOThills of Ioway...

beautiful pictures, the mountains are really stunning
Beautiful shots! You did a great job capturing the light!
beautiful pictures!
It certainly was a lovely sunset! I find it difficult to capture those colors in a sunset, too...
You must never tire of those glorious mountains.
Love it when the sky is that hue - peaceful and gorgeous!
Very pretty. Don't you hate it, though, that it's always so hard to get in a photo (well, maybe that's how it should be--the memory remains brighter).
Very humbling. Quite the view.
very beautiful..almost postcard like :)
as a 'non-photographer' you have done an awesome job of capturing the feeling of that tangerine sky! i can smell the desert air from here..
