Almost time...

My genetic make-up is Icelandic on my mother's side, and English on my father's side. Probably why I do better in cool climates. And here I am living in the high desert...hmmm...

Next Sunday I'll be at the Oregon Coast. I'm looking forward to 60 degree weather, mist, salt air and sandy toes.

images from Oregon State Parks

"The sea does not reward those who are too anxious, too greedy, or too impatient. One should lie empty, open, choiceless as a beach - waiting for a gift from the sea."

- Anne Morrow Lindbergh

You are going to have such a wonderful time! Which beach will you be going to? We used to love to go stay at the Coast Cabins in Manzanita but haven't been back in a few years. Need to do that!

Upon the first photograph, before I even scrolled all the way down, I immediately thought of Anne Morrow Lindbergh, and her lovely words!

Enjoy!

I know what you mean. My best friend is Cuban and always used to say that he had been born in te wrong country because he loved colder climates. I am an autumn sign and favour that season a lot better than summer or winter. I love spring, too.

The photos are excellent. Nature is such an excellent performer, she wears her better garments so that we can capture her beauty in its glory.

Greetings from London.

Well, there ya go! I knew there was a reason why I liked you! My Mom's Icelandic, too! A Gislason... With only 150,000 Icelanders in the home land, we are all related!

Photos are gorgeous, too. I also prefer warmer climates and so does my mother. One of the nasty genetic gifts we get is arthritis... So, the desert is probably a good place for you!

something about those kinds of pictures draws me in and makes me want to be there. it's just so soothing looking. i've got a thing for gloominess, gray skies, and rain.

i don't do cold weather but can definitely get with 60 degrees.

have a wonderful time!
