I'm still lusting after this garden orb...
Haven't had any luck trolling the internet for something similar. The closest I've found has been a concrete orb for $450. Not the look I'm after and waaaayyyy out of my price range.
Anyone have any suggestions?

it looks gorgeous! Is it made out of Marble, Granite? Maybe you can find an old fashion marble workplace where they can make it :S ?
What a beautiful orb..I have one of those cheap ones..never even realized they made them so beautiful..
That is a beaute! And it would look fabulous at your place!
Very interesting..we have them here but never in this colour, always in natural concrete colour and very hard to find. Sorry, could not help :)
I have seen glass ones in garden stores around here. A few years ago, my daughter was twirling down the aisle and smashed one! LOL
I think you should set up a paypal acct on your blog and ask your blog veiwers for an "orb lust" fundraiser. I think you must have that orb.
The only thing I can come up with is a beach ball and black enamel. That wouldn't be heavy enough, but I am still working on what else you could use. If it comes to me, I'll post again!
Love the orb! The reflections are amazing. Let me know if you find one for cheap. ;)
I'm thinking you can polish up a bowling ball - a lot more economic! Is that one made out of stone? Granite? Ceramic? It is lovely.
It's nice...how big is it?
Why not make your own?
I'm sure with your artistic talent you could definitely turn concrete into a black & shiny globe of beauty :) Plus concrete is C.H.E.A.P. yet sturdy material
Your title on this post is just killing me lol. Good luck with it!
Buy yourself some hebel and carve/sculpt your own orb :)
Wow I haven't seen anything like that before!
Only the concrete ones put around quiet streets to stop cars from speeding by provoking them to drive around the orbs, rather than just in a straight line.
When I have my own place, I'm going to get a builder to make me one (how hard can it be to make a cement ball?) and I'm going to paint it!
How about some of those large glass balls you can get at the coast?
♥
I'm not sure what the one in the photo is made out of...
I think concrete would hold up the best in the high desert winters. We get temps below zero.
It looks fantastic !! let's try to find one cheaper
