Shadow shot/Shutter click

Hey Harriet's Shadow Shot Sunday ~ Porch swing shadow

Tea & Honey Bread's Shutter Click and Chat ~ A special book

We had a going away party last year when we moved from Silverton to the High Desert of Central Oregon. My friend Georgia gave me her copy of Designers in Residence: the Personal Style of Top Women Decorators and Designers. What inspiration! Some of my favorite designers in this book: Carol Bolton, Shelia Bridges and Isabelle de Borchgrave.

And the sweet surprise when I opened it...a page dedicated to me...

with a hand-written note: Designer in residence: Fresh start pages to fill in for the Evolving Charmaine. Makes me weepy just looking at it....

This has to be one of the most thoughtful gifts I've ever received. Thanks again Georgia for this special book.

Love that porch swing! Cool shadow shot!

That's a very sweet gift too. Just went to save your shadow shot for the collage next week & goofed up & copied one of your book pics. The one with the photo of you in it. Hehe...lucky I realised my mistake now :D

I've still not found my glasses...

Ahhh...Carol Bolton...be still my heart...I've been looking at my old ratty love seat with Carol Bolton eyes...could be a fun winter project whilst I am snowed in lamenting...ha...and yes that is the sedum, who knew when I planted them that they would compliment the color my daughter was to paint my house...

I love the organic, rich earth tone of the light and shadow on the swing...warm and inviting.

Aw, that is a great friend for sure :) Your shadow is beautiful as well, the whole set up of the photo makes me think of sitting on that swing on a warm fall day with a cup of tea :)

I wish I had a porch swing. Would need a porch first...
I am so bummed to hear you aren't making it over this month for the sale. Next month? I hope so.
That is lovely gift, especially the note inside.
