Sunset

At our place....

"Nobody of any real culture, for instance, ever talks nowadays about the beauty of sunset. Sunsets are quite old fashioned. To admire them is a distinct sign of provincialism of temperament."

~ Oscar Wilde

Call me provincial...I quite admire them...

I'll reserve calling you provincial until you admit you only admire Oregon sunsets ;)

This is beautiful..Last night I was in the backyard taking pictures too..
Didn't put them up, but will..
I like the way the sun is just going down between the trees..lovely.

you are so lucky to have such beautiful sunsets, and such a beautiful setting for them too!! They are so underrated, people really should stop and take the time to admire them more.

Sunsets may have been out of style then, but you know what they say: everything old is new again.

Mark Twain often wrote of the sunsets on the Mississippi, saying they were the most beautiful from Burlington on up North to Muscatine...how right he was.

But there is nothing that makes you so humble as the majesty of a sunset, where ever you are.

Good for you to own it! I am with you. Old Fashioned is not always a bad thing :) Beautiful!

Lovely! We get some amazing ones from our home, and I just go nuts over them!

I guess I'm a throwback, too. I could spend my whole day doing nothing but looking at the world. Sunsets, sunrises and everything in between.

Too bad there's work to be done!

I look at this picture and I am thinking that you might have asked the sun to hang in the there for just the briefest of moments whilst you rushed inside to get your camera and as you were coming out and the sun was going down gently, shooed away by the moon, you managed to grab this single moment and shut it away in your camera.

Magic.

Greetings from London.

Nice photo! I've been over in Harney county this weekend and was reminded just how wonderful central Oregon really is!
