Trees

"I never saw a discontented tree. They grip the ground as though they liked it, and though fast rooted they travel about as far as we do. They go wandering forth in all directions with every wind, going and coming like ourselves, traveling with us around the sun two million miles a day, and through space heaven knows how fast and far!"

~ John Muir

Oregon Coast trees

"As the poet said, "only God can make a tree" - probably because it's so hard to figure out how to get the bark on. "

~ Woody Allen

Great post! I was feeling all nature-y and Earth-centric reading Muir...then read Woody Allen's quote lol. Beautiful shots :)

I love Woody Allen, we just watched Manhattan on Sunday evening-he's sexy, y'know if you strip his bark :)

Great shots, I need to get outdoors more...

Thanks, I needed to see some trees. (non-Joshua variety, that is)
Your photos are lovely.

Beautiful photos!

I just started smelling smoke over here--that's the downside of living amongst the trees. Redflag warnings and the smell of smoke make me want to start loading the car! LOL

So sorry you won't be able to come...we were really looking forward to meeting you! BUT, there's always October. Don't worry, you won't be alone once you get here. The October 18th show is going to be a big celebration and I am sure you will know LOTS of people!! :o)
