Australian Sunday

Hey Harriet's Shadow Shot Sunday

The late afternoon desert sun shines through the window with blinding intensity. Drapes are drawn against the glare and a shadow is found...

pretty SSS, I think both our houses faces west? mine has the sun shining mercilessly into the entire west wall which is also the main door with the most windows :D

Great shadow shot; those windows must be so comforting on a cold day when the sun can shine into the room.

Aw, this warm sunshine makes me want to curl up on a couch and take a nap! Great shot.

It looks so cozy in that area of your house :) If it were me I would snap the shadow shot then whip those curtains back open, make a nice cup of tea and snuggle up on the sofa in the sun like a cat for a nap :)

I'm so green with envy at you coming into summer...I LUV your curtains, great fabric, with rich warm light shining through...it was 42 degrees this morning here in Iowa....all downhill from here!

An excellent shadow.
Such billowing curtains......

Sunlight through curtians always creates the most soothing shadows!

I love the colour and suggestion of heat with your warm shadows. Our temperatures this morning was -1C, that is below freezing, but then the day warmed up.

Lovely header photo.

It was so wonderful to finally meet you at the Barn House sale. I have to tell you that you are even prettier in person than you are in your picture. I hope you had a fun day of shopping.

This has been one of those days...I thought I was writing to Tracy (Hey, Harriet) this morning when I posted a comment, so I bet you were wondering what the heck I was talking about...cause we both know that summer is only a memory right now...LOL...sucks to get old!

Still love your curtains!!!

The sunlight beating, pounding, determinedly streaming through the fabric of your curtains truly highlights the desert colors of your room.

Oh it looks so nice, warm and sunny. It's so cold here in England.

Love the warm atmosphere of your shadow shot. That sun has been so hot lately.

It looks like a blazing inferno behind that curtain, I like it, simple but a wonderful glow!

This room looks so inviting with the warm, sunny shadows coming through. In that room, I don't know whether I would read a good book or cuddle with my cat for a nap. Myabe both. Read than the nap.
