Costume jewelry comeback

One of the (many) things Michelle Obama is going to be remembered for this political season, is bringing costume jewelry back in style. Whether it's the flower brooch she wore to the Democratic National Convention, or the feather pin worn during the recent Larry King interview, this woman knows style.

The pink bow brooch is adorable but that vibrant red flower is the coolest! I am a big fan of costume jewelry, necklaces & rings especially as it just adds an element of fun to any outfit :)

I seems very down to earth and real- in an approachable and confident way. Her style reflects that.

So that's what politics is all about for you. You're following the fashion & styles! Nice 'jewelry' (thought I'd type it your way...it looks so wrong ;)

I think costume jewelry is so much fun! My grandmother had a huge collection of it, and I have some of it now. Great to see it coming back in vogue!

Not very knowledgeable in matters of fashion, I am aware of that, yet, I have heard and read the same comment about Michelle and her jewellery.

Quick note, diva, thanks for alerting me to the time lapse in my post. It's not your computer. It's happened before and it's to do with blogger. I don't know if anyone else has gone through the same situation where you finish a post, you programme it and then when you press 'publish', the site crashes and your post comes on whenever blogger saved it. Anyway, thanks for your kind comment.

Greetings from London.

The fabric brooches are pretty. I sometimes wear a brooch instead of a necklace and people always make a comment. It's nice for a change. Lovely collection by the way

Little tid bit: My husband went to school with Obama when he moved to Hawaii as a kid

I'm a big fan of her style, so much color and design. It's a switch from the navy blue and black we're used to. Michelle and her wardrobe are the highlights of
the election thus far ;)
