No more frozen ears

I spent 40 years living in the mild Willamette Valley. If we did receive any snow during the year, two inches would cause schools to close...seriously. Now that we live in the High Desert of Central Oregon, winters are a bit different. Last year we had temps of 5 below zero...brrrr! So I'm planning ahead so my ears don't freeze this winter...

I picked out some favorites hats from Etsy. Dreamwoven literally makes art for the head.

Dreamwoven

I'm quite fond of this vintage hat with the flaps...sadly, my head is too big for this...

La Boeheme

This turban, however, would probably stretch...

Dreamwoven really has some incredible items. Thanks for sharing that. I do love that turban though. The color would be nice for my eyes.

I've been scouting out hatwear for both me and my daughter on Etsy. So many choices. Dreamwoven is pretty remarkable. So are you buying any?

Well...Dreamwoven is out of my budget, the ear flap hat is too small, so I'm considering the turban. There's also a camo colored one, and a brightly colored version in their sister shop.

Oooo...this last one is my fave! I am going to have to do some Etsy shopping for Christmas.

well..we wont have such problem here, so ear warmers wont be needed, instead many will head for the mountains to experience cool air. Below 5 degree? I wont survive there for 2 days I think :D

I love Dreamwoven's hats! She's a beautiful person, too. And,her new blog about vasectomies is hilarious.

That turban would make for some very elegant headgear! But oh, that hat/scarf from Dreamwoven just looks so soft and cuddly!

I've been a huge fan of Dreamwoven for some time. Each of her hats is a true work of art. Sure wish I could afford one :)

I LOVE that top one. It is something I could see myself wearing if it ever got cold enough here.

great choices. I too have a thing for head flaps, they make me happy.

I also love the last one - It looks particularly good on the lady wearing it.

The top one looks so warm and toasty! I can't pick a fave though as far as looks, I like them all!

Beautiful selection. I really like the colors of the second hat. I unfortunately have the opposite problem as you, as I seem to have a very small head. (My one daughter's head was bigger then mine by the time she turned 3!) Most hats swim on me and I wind up looking like a freakish little kid in them!

I love the turban. There's an eccentric diva feel to them that's very appealing to me.

even though I am not a hat person I love your choices, you'll have to model for us the one you end up choosing!

Diva, in these times of metrosexuality, which is nothing but a pathetic excuse for us heterosexual fellows to camp up our act a little bit without losing face, I find myself enthralled by these hats. Probably the last one, top to bottom, would be a bit OTT but the black one and the grey (with the red strip) are my favourites. I shall be Marlene!

Greetings from London.

Wow they are all really funky designs, I can see why it is called art for the head. That first one is dual purpose scarf/hat and would be perfect here in New England as well (where mind you it went down into the TEENS last night). ::sobs::

Only 239 days until summer!

I love all these hats. I don't get to bundle up much in Atlanta, but I love too! I'm from the Northeast, so I love coats, and scarves and hats.

Lovely selection.

Temps 5 below zero!?! Geez, I dare not complain to you about my winter again. I couldn't survive 5 below zero! As sweet as those hats are, I don't think they'd be enough for me...

You've chosen some very aesthetically pleasing cabeza coverings! I particularly like the last one. I have a similar coif that would do well under it!

Love that turban one but I've always refused to wear hats or sunglasses, I passionately feel that they do not suit me whatsoever.

...maybe a simple flapper-like feather hair clip would be fine though... but only because I want to be like Clara Bow!
