Dog!

Locally, there's a 3 year old female St. Bernard in need of adoption....I really want her. Mark says she is too big for us. She weighs 115 lbs.

This photo shows a 3 yr. old female from www.saintrescue.org
to give an idea of how she looks....

Update: We're also hoping to meet Trux, an Aussie mix, who we found on Craigslist. Is that the sweetest face, or what?

i had one a very long time ago. his name was Stash. He weighed 250lbs when i got (rescued) him. Beautiful creature that ate me out of house and home. They are like little horses.....amazing creatures with a quirky personality. ..but your husband may be right...

AWWW!! You NEED her!! She's not too big! 115 lbs is on the small side for that breed, isn't it? I've always loved St. Bernards. One of the previous owners of the Manor had two of them, I'm told.

A St. Bernard is one of the most adorable dogs! I know they get very big but you should definitely try to convince him...you have a decent amount of space and could always build him his own little house out in the yard somewhere :)

BTW, you got a little love over at Green Leaf Reviewer today :)

I think you need her! I can't imagine a 115 lb animal hopping on my lap-well, that's not entirely true. Phone a friend, you need this dog and it may require some Lucy & Ethel-esque antics to pull it off.

You must have her!! Or both of them! (they are two different dogs, right?)

Oh, they are both precious. Adopt them both!!

Oh, Trux is begging to be a part of your life!!! He'd be great with Cammie :) (so would the St-Bernard... or both!)

just the other day i was being barked at by one sitting in a car at the grocery store. she looked just like the first, and i wanted to get her and bring her home. *assuming it was a she based on a pink collar*

Too bad about the St.B., I hate to see them in the pound...just too much drool for me, but wonderful dogs...but I am all for the Aussie...they are fabulous dogs, very smart! And yup...what a face!

Go on...get one of them. Both are sweet. You'll not regret it. Cammie may resent you for a little while. She'll get over it :)

My vote is for the female Saint Bernard! She is sooooo cute! I had a Saint Bernard mix growing up, and she was a GREAT dog. Big, yes, but a great dog. If you adopt her, then I can come and visit her (oh, and you, too!!! ha ha ha)

Wouldn't it be great for you and Mark to have them both? (Does Camie get to vote?) I don't know how you could choose.... TAKE THEM BOTH!!!

Both so cute! My mom's dog is an Aussie mix, but looks nothing like Trux there... he's the sweetest thing, even if he doesn't know he's a dog!
