A few artists I discovered in 2008:
Diana Bracy, fiber artist. Hundreds of tiny pieces of fabric stitched together to make a fiber mosaic of the legendary Ray Charles.
Diana's fiber mosaic of President-Elect Obama will be featured in an upcoming exhibit in Maryland: A Celebration of Art Quilts
Datamancer's steampunk laptop...I adore this.
Su Blackwell's paper cut art...phenomenal.

That laptop would actually fit in or at least not fight with the rest of the house. The paper art is magical! It's like the story has come to life.
