Bonfire

Late autumn clean up at the ranch...juniper branches burn fast and hot.

"In the other gardens
And all up the vale,
From the autumn bonfires
See the smoke trail!
Pleasant summer over
And all the summer flowers,
The red fire blazes,
The grey smoke towers.
Sing a song of seasons!
Something bright in all!
Flowers in the summer,
Fires in the fall!"

~ Robert Louis Stevenson

Trux and I cast shadows as we ponder the flames....

Where's the s'mores...sounds like a cold one coming for sure. We have been so lucky so far this year with the snowfalls, last year this time we were buried under 20 inches of snow, totally ruining our Christmas sales...keep them fingers and toes crossed for us and I hope you stay warm and toasty, have a cup o joe for me too...

hey Cyrus likes your VOLCANO. I liked the poem that goes with it, and I bet it smelled right nice too. There's something intoxicating about that smell of a bonfire in the outdoors. As opposed to when it's your bedroom on fire. That's never good. Unless it's your Dayton Washington bedroom, and then it's a blessing. As long as everyone is a safe distance away watching it burn. Burn, baby burn.... oh, excuse me. Got lost in a spectacular fantasy for a minute there.... yeah, sweet VOLCANO.

Beautiful fire. It brings back memories of impromptu guitar sessions under the stars.

Greetings from London.

Oh, Trux!!! How nice to see that fuzzy head again. Burning is fun, but a little scary too, sometimes.

What a beautiful poem :) The fire looks toasty warm, wish I could stick my little ice cubes, sometimes called feet, in it right now :)

Looks like Trux is adjusting and fitting into the family just fine!
