We generally wait for things to hit Netflix! ; ) I've heard good things about this one, especially the make-up. I wonder if I should read the short story upon which its based before or after the film....
Something is holding me back from rushing in to see this. Could it be the length? Or maybe the way Brad gets younger? I want to be a fan, just not connecting yet.
This was a interesting and moving movie that had me at the edge of my seat the entire way through. Curiously, I discovered last night that the original storyline is completely different from the movie. About the only thing in common with the original book, written by F. Scott Fitzgerald (author of The Great Gatsby), is the title and the aging backward of Bejamin Button. However, I think both storylines are interesting and thought-provoking.
Is there a meaning to the backwards text? "Christmas Day" is forward so it must be intentional. I don't know about the movie or the short story dear Diva of the High Desert, but when it arrives in Puerto Rico, I'll surely go to see it. <3
Thought the trailer looked interesting. It's always fun to watch young actors as they develop their style and I do plan on seeing it.
The first movie I saw Brad in was Thelma and Louise and thought to myself...how can it be, a young acter so handsome, how far will he go...what a hunk! I'm sure I'll be seeing this one soon!
Hubby and I went to see it last week, and we both loved it. Yes, the movie was long, and I thought the pace was slow... but with intention, like a meditation. It helped to covey the longevity of the two main characters relationship, and of their individual lives as well. Visually it was very beautiful. Would like to read Fitzgerald's original telling of the story.
I have heard its good from a few friends now so it might be a great date night movie. I like the montage of pictures, really cool.
Another I highly recommend (and NEVER thought I would) is Gran Torino. Just saw it this past weekend and it blew me away. Not at all what I expected from the previews.
no, but while in atlanta we went to see a film called _slumdog millionaire_, and upon leaving the theater we passed the wall where they display all the showing films. that film was being advertised, and i argued my friend down that that wasn't brad pit.
It's on my 'movies to see' list. I just saw the movie Twilight today. Ooops, no yesterday. I didn't think it would live up to all the hype, but I really loved it. I believe much of it was filmed in Oregon. Was very pretty :)

We're hoping to see it this weekend. Can't wait! Looks wonderful.
Good morning. My daughters saw it and are begging me to see it too. I'll get to see it soon (I hope)
Didja love it? My mom saw it and said only that it was loooong. That usually deters me from a film because I know I'll just fall asleep!
I really liked it. It is a little long though.
I found and read the short story online. The movie is very, very loosely based on the idea....
Will definitely check it out when it's released on DVD!

I'm hoping to see it this weekend in Paris with a friend - can't wait, I've heard so many great reports..:)

I agree, go out and watch this movie.

Heard of it and there's an Oscar buzz attached to it (for Brad Jolie).
Thanks for your recommendation.
Greetings from London.
It's magical.

Didn't see this movie, but then again, usually don't go to the movies..Have heard good things about this movie though.

Saw it two weeks ago- Great little story, impossible delight- cinematography gorgeous (and Bradd) the only glitch was the tedious old dying Cate.
The commercials piqued my interest, I'll be sure to add it to my Netflix queue as soon as it comes available.
I've heard great things about this film, but I have to wait to see it on DVD.
I'm glad to hear you liked it enough to recommend...

I haven't seen this yet, thanks for the recommendation! I love the quote, very true I think.

We don't go to movies. We're parents of a 16 month old. sigh
But we'll probably check it out eventually.

i'll have to check it out...
NO, but will check it out :D
Can't wait - I am so behind on the latest movies and in desperate need of a fix, xv.
My daughter was invited to the screening in London - she wholeheartedly agrees with your sentiments regarding the film. I'll see it later on DVD.
Oh, I can't wait to see this movie. I love Cate Blanchett too (being an Aussie and all)

will definitely go and see it when it reaches us here in Spain...
INCREDIBLE!!!
Haven't seen it yet, but can't wait!
I've heard nothing but good things about it. I don't get out much and will probably not get to see it before it's out on DVD...but it's on the list.
Isn't he beautiful? The whole movie was, actually.
