Marketing

I decided to take advantage of Overnight Prints' offer of 100 free postcards to design some marketing material for Mark's business.

Cicada Studio created the header

I like the cards I designed for him much better than the cards I designed for my biz...wish I would have found that font for mine.

Photos on my card by Philip Clayton-Thompson

Back of card:

Speaking of marketing the biz, today is the day I'm decorating the table for the Chamber of Commerce event I posted about here.

Both the postcard and my business card will be incorporated in the design...

T. Kimberlyn Designs created my biz card

wish me luck!

These are really nice! I do like the font but the first thing I notice is the awesome photos. I like the Damask style to your business cards too!

Thanks!

Mark & I took the photos for his cards, but all the photos on my cards were taken by Philip Clayton-Thompson of Blackstone Edge Studios. The back of my card has the photo credit listed. I'm going to find that image file and post it, too.
Terrea from T.Kimberlyn.etsy.com designed my biz card.

Actually, I think the font on your card works better than the other would have. The "script" works so well with the flow of his iron working. Your card is already very visually "busy" with the density of the photos and I think the strong, clear typeface is a good foil.

But maybe I just want you to stay happy with your cards as they are!

Your table will shine!!

Both cards look pretty super to me.
Always something rather exciting about getting something back from the printers.
Congratulations.

I think they both look great, the font you chose does well in the smaller space. Good luck with your event, I can't wait to see the final pictures.

Thanks so much for the tip - am going to try to get in under the wire today with a card for our vintage ornament business! Your cards both look outstanding. Good luck tonight with the table!

Wishing you the very best of luck - the pictures on your card tell the whole story and the simpler, elegant font is important to that! (Did you know that any Sans serif style font is also far easier to see for anyone older/with eye sight issues?)

I think it all looks wonderful and very professional. Good luck and have fun with the table decorating! (Don't forget your business cards!)

I too love the damask look of your cards, it's a very profession style...and Mark's cards give a hint of what he's capable of..I love them too, you guys did a great job with the photos too.

Good luck with the table design, I can't wait to see all the shots and hear the comments...yippee...you go girl!

I agree - both cards are beautiful! You husband's is bursting with his creativity (all the colorful, bright, imaginative photos).

And yours - I can't see how I'd change it. The wallpaper border at the bottom is very understated and classy, and the logo is marvelous. I think your font says "classy" as well.

I like both cards, and also think the font on Mark's cards goes well with the curves of the iron work, and that your font fits just right with the more formal style of your photos.

Wishing you success and lots of compliments on your table today. Can't wait to hear what transpires.

I think the font on his card goes with the curves of the Iron Treasures he creates.

Love your card and the pictures of the event are WONDERFUL!!! So glad you posted the pictures of your final design... VERY nice, Diva!

I love both cards, but someone commented earlier that they thought the script would make yours too busy, and I think they're right. You're work speaks for itself, so everything else should be subdued!

On the table, I was squinting past yours to see some of the others, and I think yours (from what I CAN see back there) looks the most professionally put together. The best of luck to ya!!!

I absolutely LOVE your table design.... The color scheme is great..and I love how you utilized the entire set up, including the chairs and by using the umbrellas for visual interest.

Oh Charmaine everything is just gorgeous! I love the layout of Mark's cards, his bold header at the top and then the softness of the font provide the same balance as his pieces. Must look into that postcard deal for my own biz, thanks for sharing the info!

Your cards (biz & marketing) came out great as well. Your designs are amazing & it will be great getting them in front of a large group of people.

The table, I am in awe. Simply such beautiful work. I am dying to read about how it went!! congrats on being included and for pulling together such a fantastic tablescape.
