On Sunday

I participate in Tea & Honey Bread's Shutter Click & Chat
This week's theme is self-portrait.

Lately, font sizes seem to be getting smaller and smaller...

“For my part I know nothing with any certainty,
but the sight of the stars makes me dream.”

I'm like Rosebud and can never find my glasses. I have no idea where they are anymore. I'm kind of ok with seeing everything blurry now.

Your glasses look fine geek girl. But what would I know. you're just a fuzzy blur on my screen ;D

Great pic!
(I had to start wearing bifocals this year and they are driving me batty, I just cannot get used to them.)

Brave you!
You look terrific - and great glasses.
Yes, half my life is spent saying "Where's my glasses!!"
Husband is the same though.......

I try to tell myself that glasses are just another kind of jewelry. Face jewelry? Whatever. PS you look great!

That is a great self-portrait, particularly the quizzical look on your face. Glasses are just another tool that help you navigate life more easily...

I can always find my glasses...they're practically stapled to my head or I'm blind. Trifocals since 40.....ugh!

Cute photo....music post or Tea and Honeybread challenge?!?...

You look mahhhhvelous! I'm probably headed the way of spectacled divas myself. It's on my to do list for 2009.

I remember buying my grandmother an eyeglass case in the 80's which read "Men always make passes at girl's who wear glasses." Not at all practical for a grandma, but she carried it anyway!

re: The family diary. I have a copy of the first volume, but am reading the 2nd volume online through the Library of Congress. My great aunt had a copy but no one knows what became of it...

Yup - this year I finally went and got progressive lenses. I got tired of "playing trombone" when I tried to read, or thread a needle.

Love your glasses!

That's an awesome shot, Lady! Stunning...

Ohh... so sad to hear grandma's death. Take it easy, we know that she's in a wonderland who's looking at you everyday.

Have a nice Sunday!

Glasses are the new hot accessory. Everyone in my family has them but me. I'm sure it's only a matter of time...

You are rocking those glasses!

I'm with BaldyLocks, almost everyone I know has glasses but myself & Matt...guess we shall see what the future holds there! Love the style, they look so chic on you!

Fun self-portrait. I've worn glasses since I was 8, no big deal.

great self portrait & I enjoyed your shadow shot as well.

I know what you mean about the font sizes. What's worse for me are the light coloured font on light coloured backgrounds. I have been enlarging and highlighting a lot lately just to be able to read some blogs I really like.

Hope 2009 will be wonderful for you!

You know C, honestly, I think I seriously need a pair of that. I cant read the fine prints, and I have to take off my glasses to see it. Looking at the computer all day gives me headache and my DH has been saying that..you need reading glasses, it comes with the age..I am trying to prove him wrong..unsuccessfuly :(

i miserably failed an eye exam yesterday. :-(

guess i've gotta start wearing those glasses i probably should be wearing anyway...

Nice portrait!

I don't wear glasses to read, but for my near-sightedness. I don't wear them all the time, but am always forgetting where I left them (how many times have I missed the bus, scurrying around the apartment looking them?)...

Cute photo! You look good in glasses. I look like a geek in mine...
