Calling all fish

"In order to create, we draw from our inner well. This inner well, an artistic reservoir, is ideally like a well stocked fish pond... If we don't give some attention to upkeep, our well is apt to become depleted, stagnant, or blocked...As artists, we must learn to be self nourishing. We must become alert enough to consciously replenish our creative resources as we draw on them — to restock the trout pond, so to speak."

~ Julia Cameron

My pond needs restocking

Got fish?

On a completely unrelated note, for all the bloggers out there who are unhappy with the new hideously ugly Followers widget, there is a forum post here
Vent!
Please tell Blogger what you think and then post the forum link on your own blog so more people will know where to go to protest.

I can certainly relate to this post! There are some days when my inner well is completely dry. I love this fish print!!

I came over to see if you had the followers widget, too. I was hoping it wasn't something I accidentally did. Ugly, isn't it? I'm going over to vent. Thanks for the link!

The vases are by Heintz Art Metal, an early 1900s New York company that worked in bronze with sterling silver overlay and specialized in both art nouveau and craftsman designs. And yes, there are 3 public stairways to the beach, and the easy access where the lagoons meet the ocean.

It's odd how inspiration strikes - sometimes just handling your materials will bring something forth...

Beautiful quote and lovely picture. In regards to the followers' widget, I thought that my blog had been taken over by gremlins during my absence. Will go and vent my spleen right now. Many thanks.

Greetings from London.

Sorry, no.

Go fish.

I could definitely do with a bit of restocking! Perhaps I am still asleep or it could be the new 12" of snow we got last night that I am under.

Didn't notice the follower link...will have to check it out.

Greetings from across the big, big pond (which could probably spare you some fish)..!
Personally, I'm fishless too..:)

You want fish? I can post you some but they'd be rather smelly by the time they arrived to you!

The new Followers widget is ugly. I've also noticed that the follower pics don't load correctly. I can only see 3 follower pics displaying & a bunch of empty squares on your widget now. Just looks like a big Google plug to me!

A wise quote from the very wise Ms. Cameron... I can most definitely relate.

As for the new followers widget, I think it is aesthetically appalling and in very poor taste. So happy to see that there is a link to protest its appearance. Thank you!

You have no idea how much I am appreciating Julia's words right now or your good sense to post them. Definitely feeling like some farming needs to take place pretty soon because the only thing swimming around my pond at this time is the guppies haha.

Yeah I was wondering about the followers widget...heading over there now because I really don't love the new look. Thanks!

Love the fish - hate the new followers widget. I followed the link and read the posts but, in my pathetic ineptitude, I was unable to find a place to leave my own comment. I replied to yours hoping that would show up and it probably did....in YOUR box. Fat lot of good that'll do. But I DON'T like it!

What an appropriate quote. Good luck with the restocking.

And yes, that is an ugly widget! Why'd they have to mess with something that was just fine?

My fish are feverishly, desperately floppping about as I recover from vacation over-stimulation.

Why did the people mess with my blog! I fought and thought long and hard about adding that widget and now look!(Off to give them a taste of a sparkle-free me!)

Hey, does this have anything to do with your upcoming birthday, Ms. Pisces?

I just re-followed you in your hideous follow me widget, and all the names popped up. It said you had no followers, but I called them all back, apparently!
