The car shot: crossing the bridge from Oakland to San Francisco....my first view of the City by the Bay.
We played tourist and walked from Fisherman's Wharf to Ghiradelli Square. Gorgeous, sunny California day. (I came home to snow...)
most of my shots seem to be water...hmmm...
Cindy & Eric
yep...more water shots...
We saw lots of cable cars (but I forgot to take any pictures of those!), drove to the financial district and had lunch at a Thai restaurant, then did a little shopping with me forgetting to take any more photos that afternoon! Lots of fun. (I have great in-laws.)
Back to Teresa's for cocktails on the patio and a dinner party with Sue & Teresa's Uncle Ralph and a neighbor...mmmm...lots of wine...

Lovely trip. I wish I wasn't in a landlocked state. More than landlocked being in the center of the bloody country!
Oh, that bridge! I have dreamt so many times of crossing that bridge. I always enjoy the Bridge Series in baseball when the A's play the Giants just because of the views they show you on ESPN before the game. Lovely shot!
And, re water, you're a Pisces, of course you are attracted to water! Many thanks for such a brilliant post.
Greetings from London.
Hey!...you're still away on this romantic vacation? I could stay in San Francisco forever!
Thanks for taking me along on the trip - I'm having a great time!
You make SF look wonderful.
I have never been there and would love to visit.
I use to live in the Bay Area and I yearn for a trip to the City!
Enjoyed your post!
My sister lives in San Fran and I treasure my visits there. We always walk everywhere and it's amazing how small that city really is!
Looking at these photos makes me really miss the water. I would die to have a great Thai dinner!
Beautiful shots! I'd be drawn to the water, too.
This isn't your FIRST first trip to SF?
Sounds like you had a really great time and the weather was gorgeous!
I grew up just outside of the bay area, but can't say I've seen SF as an adult. That would be fun...
The last time I went to CA it was for new years eve of 1999, and I remember it being like 70 degrees out new years day. Gotta love that.
:)
Welcome home, spring is almost here!
;)
I didn't realize this was you first trip there! So GLAD you went. Isn't it an enchanted place? I can NEVER go enough. I'll be there next week.
beautiful.
Water water everywhere and not a drop to take a nice relaxing dip in!
Can't go wrong with a sunshiney day. Sorry to hear about the snow... I must say, that would totally SUCK.
More wonderful pictures, what a great trip.
I tend to forget to take photos too. Too busy having fun! The ones you got tho make me want to go:)
