The conservatory

The greenhouse, gift shop, garden, conservatory, and ongoing creative endeavor of Suzanne St. Pierre and Scotty Thompson.

Suzanne showing Mark the doors Scotty made for the conservatory

Vintage wood panels purchased from Washington State University
Scotty will add these on either side of the 10' conservatory doors
(on the inside) in lieu of molding

another salvaged window
note the tractor discs as a decorative touch atop the metal support post

Cutest outhouse....ever
love the chandelier and the book page wall paper
Scotty's patio:  wheat grass, brick, salvaged glider chair
fenced in with a vintage farm conveyor belt
Clever salvaged style...love it.

A funny word this is, conservatory. It means a school where one of the fine arts is taught and also it is a greenhouse attached to a main building or construction. Given the quality of Mark's work so far the most appropriate meaning for me is a combination of the two concepts; namely, it is still a greenhouse where art flourishes everywhere. Many thanks.

Greetings from London.

There was a movie I remember as a kid, or maybe it was a book, no ... it was a movie. Where these two runaways broke into a museum and starting living there.

If I ran away, I'd want to stow away in this place you've shown us. It's like a little piece of heaven on earth.

Old metal gliders are the best. I have happy memories of summer days and gliders. Thanks for taking us along on such a fun road trip!

This place is amazing! They left nothing out and combined these elements to create a truly one of a kind eclectic experience. Wow, those doors especially are impressive. And I love the conveyor belt fence. How did you discover this place?

I love seeing the clever ways people use ordinary things as decoration - that tractor disc was TRANSFORMED! What a great shop.

Unbelievable panels. OH man. And the tractor disc column? Who thinks of these things? My mind could NEVER be so inventive. I'm all agog.

I want to go to that outhouse too! For almost 20 years of my life, we had to use an outhouse but it didn't look anything like this! (phew!...the memories I'm having now!).

What clever ideas! Love the outhouse...{reminiscing} my soph. year in college I had a job cleaning outhouses at a state park - they looked nothing like that!
