Gathering

Trux peers through the colored branches along the Deschutes River

We gathered branches for the pots purchased at Living in the Garden

Hoping the deer won't eat cut branches like they do plants...

I was surprised to find pussy willow buds...I've never seen pussy willows with such vibrantly colored branches

We decided to stick some of the branches in the yard...
instant shrubs that just may take root.

If the deer come up on the porch and eat those...I think I'd start locking my door. Next thing you know they'll be waltzing in and eating out of your fridge!

They look great...nice statement!!

sigh... I absolutely love your front door

The branches are gorgeous. Will they stay red forever? They're so pretty, I might eat them.

Perfect compliment to the color of the house. Mark, Cammie & Trux must have been happy for your safe return home :)

Scratchy wants to play...got any mice to chase...

You've inspired me to do something with the huge Mexican pot on my porch and all of the Chinese Elm branches that seem to endlessly fall from the tree...a focal point is born...thanks and welcome back!

Wow, what a pretty scene...how nice your walk, Trux having fun, and to bring something home with you that is just perfect with the colors blending from the pots and the door and the moulding and the siding...every color on the house is also in the branches...Lovely!

Again...loving that colour, if only I could convince hubby to paint it the same ;( Does deer eat these branches too? I've no idea, the ones we see are all at the zoo. Have a great weekend, big hugs/m

The deer come right up onto the porch so I'm really hoping they won't eat the branches. (They eat EVERYTHING else)

Lovely! Tell Trux to come over and check out Minky and JoJo! They would be great friends. :)

These are stunning! If there wasn't a picture of them in the wild, I'd swear they were faux. Nature can really throw some outstanding colors. I love them in the pots!

These look fantastic! Yes, I too would have thought that they were sprayed-on colours if I had not that previous nature pic!

Love the colour of those branches and that photo of Trux is gorgeous. Good luck with the deer not eating them!

Lovely branches... Years ago my sister planted 20 weeping cherry trees around the drive to her home. The next morning she woke to stubs. The deer ate them as far down as they could!
