The Gift Shop~Eye candy
salvaged windows incorporated into the building's design
note the tile border atop the painted walls
Well worth the (seven hour) drive. So much inspiration and creativity.
Conservatory and snow covered garden pictures to come....

In my attempt to find creative people locally,
I recently joined a new group in Central Oregon...
I'm excited to see where this will go...

Wow! What a wonderful place!! Love the hanging bed!
Diva, do you sleep? I see your posts at 12:19 AM, 4 AM, 10 PM...maybe High Desert Dwellers require less rest.
I so love those chicken paintings, because I am contemplating cute backyard chickens and a cute orange Eglu.
Yes, some beautiful artifacts.
I think I like the lanterns best.
Hugs.
Your trip to the gift shop was a trip worthwhile. Good luck in your new organization.
Love the springs on the ceiling...too cool, what a fun trip, can't wait to here the news on the Design Council, may open up a whole other venue...exciting!
You and I are cut from the same designer fabric when it comes to the hours we keep - very eclectic!
Love that hanging bed idea. Not something I would do but it is one of the more creative and interesting repurposings I've seen.
GREAT shop!
They totally "get" the hunt-for-buried-treasure aspect of gift shopping. I would frequent that shop were it closer! ; ) I hope they hang tough in this economy...
The organization looks like a great thing! You'll have to give an update on how it is. Those salvaged windows are incredible!
I love that fab red wall!
Your month is getting off to a really FUN start and the design group has terrific possibilities - great!
Great shop! Good luck on your new adventure.
Many thanks for 'taking' us on your trip. And good luck with your new group. You sure are a busy bee, aren't you? :-)
Greetings from London.
What a COOL shop! I've always had dreams of having a shop like that someday... mixed with things old and new. Can't wait to see what you brought home.
:)
I have never seen bed springs from the ceiling...how eclectic is that? Looked like an inspirational trip!
Wow, this kind of shop really feeds my soul. I get so wrapped up in the Thrill-of-the-Hunt that I could spend days in a place like this. Great find!
Good luck with thew new design group...

What a serene shop this must be, Diva.... you must get to take home the 'good vibes' as a bonus to your purchases, huh? Their blog is a pretty and enjoyable read, too. Thanks for sharing this!
xoxo

Yup, I like the sound of HDDC much better :) Awesome! How is that going? Making good connections?
Love that entire shop, definitely worth the drive time!
Can I just move into the store?
How fun to see the shop through someone else's eyes.
( it looks pretty good, ha! )
How do you get blogger to post so many photos?
I could not get more than 4 on one post?
thank you, thank you, thank you, Charmaine.
I hope this group provides your soul with food.
That shop looks so cool! Wouldn't mind finding a creative group in Portland that wasn't just crafts by the granola crowd. Nothing agains't granola folks (or the cereal for that matter), it just doesn't mesh with our photography style, if ya know what I mean! :)
what a great place! The council looks interesting too
: )
I am so partial to those Rooster paintings!
Merci du Midi!
You take some of the best day trips.
Where, oh where, is something like this in Bend? btw, I haven't been able to find Royal T...no phone, nothing. Is it somewhere in the vicinity of Redeaux? Have fun with the High Desert Design Council - I am certain they will welcome you you with open arms.
Inspirational alright :D I'd love to go there too
Lots of pretty stuff! I love that green hanging light. Good luck with the Design Council!!
Cool gift shop. Congrats on joining that group. Sounds perfect for you and right up your alley. Hope you have fun with it.
