Putting it together

An outfit for the ballet....

I have a dress similar to this one from Crafty Crow Vintage
Perfect for traveling as it is made of wrinkle proof fabric

Just found a photo of me (and the sistahs!) in the dress....
I want to add a ruffle to mine

I'll add a little Steampunk goodness with this necklace

and go in style and comfort with some boots

Which ballet, you ask?
San Francisco here I come!
More trip details...soon!

wow..a ballet, have never been to one before though I would love to. Love that dress, the steampunk jewellery is funky, chic and young. I'd love to wear boots too..though you know it will be walking on saunas here :P

The Jeoffrey Ballet Company plays often here in Ioway and last year gave a free outdoor performance for the flood victims in Cedar Rapids.

I'll be right there...OK...

How exciting! Be sure and go shopping in Chinatown - they have some great stuff there when you get past the touristy things. San Francisco is fun!

Can I be in your back pocket? Would love to go to the ballet...especially with works by Rachmaninov and choreography by Jerome Robbins. You lucky lady!

Ooh, jealous...

Go to Farallon for fish (and the decor!!!!)

Go to The Thirsty Bear for tapas!

Go to Cortez for the best Manhattan west of Manhattan - the bar cherries are amazing! (And the bartender is nice about replenishing them after you eat the originals)

Oh, and The Red Room! How I love the Red Room!

You could visit my friend, Mike, too. Tell him Nancy said they have an extra bedroom. He won't mind. They're up on a cliff in Tiburon with a great view of the bay. And San Quentin.

Lucky, lucky and so stylish girl!!

How fun! I love San Francisco, and ballet such as you will see is a beautiful thing to behold. (Feeling a wee bit envious here!!!) The dress and the boots are super... Hope you have a ball!

A Cuban In London said...

I admit it. I am green with envy. When I used to live in Cuba I rarely missed a ballet season and we have some outstanding performers. Sadly I have never been to the Royal Opera House to see either the English National Ballet (with Tamara Rojo, for instance) or the Scottish National in rep. Your post brought back fond memories of looking prim, proper and dapper for a good old night at Havana's Grand National Theatre. Have fun and do let us know what the programme. I've heard the San Francisco is very good.

Greetings from London.

Stylin'! Are you going to add the ruffle yourself? *Makes sign of cross*

I can't wait to hear all about it!

You will be the Belle of the Ballet! Travel safely .......

I'm planning to add the ruffle myself, by hand, as I don't have a machine. I tried to find ruffle, but haven't had any luck. Trying to figure out if I can make ruffle from double-sided satin ribbon....and if I have the patience for this task....
