LOW-TIDE
These wet rocks where the tide has been,
Barnacled white and weeded brown
And slimed beneath to a beautiful green,
These wet rocks where the tide went down
Will show again when the tide is high
Faint and perilous, far from shore,
No place to dream, but a place to die,--
The bottom of the sea once more.
~ Edna St. Vincent Millay

Oh ya...I know, am dying to go there...happy weekend.
Could that be said more beautifully? No, no, and no.
Very evocative.
I needed something calm and lovely this morning, thanks.
the words, the image. very calming indeed.
The ocean is a treat, enjoy.
Lovely picture-the clouds, the rocks, the trees right down to the ocean...I love Oregon beaches!
There is nothing like the ocean at low tide. We always went "gunk holing"..our version for exploring...at low tide just to see all the tides had washed ashore. It was tranquil and so relaxing.
Oh I totally feel this today, spring fever is definitely taking hold!
Just beautiful, xv.
