I always enjoy your blog and your photography. My mother and my husband's mother both used to live in Bend, Oregon such a lovely and scenic place. Both moms have passed away but your photos remind me of some of the wonderful times we've spent with them...car trips in the mountains, the vistas of Mt. Hood, Mt. Bachelor, the Seven Sisters...Pilot Butte, watching the ducks on the fast flowing waters of the Deschutes River, the Swans on the lake in Downtown Bend. Guess the high desert is calling me, need to make a trip back there and smell the Juniper trees again. Thanks for such pleasant memories. Anna

I can relate. When all else fails, nature gives me hope that anything is possible. Great shots, where's Trux?
They are really beautiful..Isn't it amazing how they grow?
When are you off to Italy?
Hope your plans haven't been altered by the sad news of the earthquake?
The shop below is stunning.
Thanks for sharing these beautiful photos. Tenacity is a fierce attribute, and these photos are effective metaphors.

I love these photos--and any quote from yoda is good!
I'm so impressed by the power of a single root come to glory and Yoda expressed it so well!

That is seriously tough ground to break, xv.
These pictures really do say it all, don't they? A great metaphor for life: Persevere and you will prevail.

And this ties in with your Theme Thursday, doesn't it? Quite nicely. Mother Earth. Powerful. Invincible.
