If you haven't read Angels & Demons yet, do so... The angel that tops this chiesa in Lucca reminds me of the angel described in the search for the anti-matter stolen from a Swiss laboratory. While in CA, my sis-in-law and I saw the new A&D film, and it's yards better than the dud based on The DaVinci Code. Your photos are very evocative.
