White

Faded Charm's weekly white meme

I don't decorate with white, so I ventured outside.

My husband is something of a rock hound.

We have quite a collection of petrified wood and rocks,
most of them found here in Oregon.

I love the seashell

A Birthday shout out to my baby sister, Cherelle

Happy 40th !

I'm curious about why you don't decorate with white?

Happy birthday to your baby sis! I'll eat a big slice of cake just for her :D

First things first. Happy birthday to Cherelle, too!

And I love that seashell, too. Thanks for your honesty, too :-).

Greetings from London.

I'm going to echo that question. Why don't you decorate with white? My guess, after looking at picture of your old home, would be that you love warm colors. But that's just a guess. Do tell.

Ahhh....didn't mean to be mysterious about it. I just don't care for white. I like color, and white isn't one.

But I also feel white (white walls, white furniture, white decor) is overdone. Personal opinion, and all that.

I like white trim and white beamed ceilings(oil based paint) and color everywhere else.

Best to your sister.

Funny, even as I have a shop called 'White', I don't have white in my own home. The only white I do have are the walls in the front room, but they are original plaster walls...

I like the darker faded colors of aged history, deep, dark and rich, sorta bordello-like.

When we decided on the name for the store, we decided that 'white' would be a tribute to the people of Palo, who survived the horrible floods last year, all hanging white rags on their doors to show rescuers that all were out of harms way.

Cheers to the big 40 for lil'sister...

I'm with you on the white - it's all the rage in shops around here and somewhat overdone. I would never be able to keep it looking fresh enough, as we're the types who put their feet up on the furniture, traipse in and out of the garden all day and consistently track in sand from the beach.

All best wishes to your sis for many happy returns of the day!

I have something in common with your husband as I am always dragging sticks, stones and shells home with me, (along with seed pods, too). Happy BD to your baby Sis!

Happy Birthday to Cherelle!

Decorating with all white is too stark for me yet I don't like primary colors.....they are too bright for me. I guess I like natural tones with a splash of color in the corner somewhere.

Hugs, Rose
