Years ago, I painted a closet door in our old kitchen with black chalkboard paint.

I loved having a giant chalkboard to write on...reminders, to do lists, love notes to my husband....it was great! I liked the black, but I like the idea of color choices even better. There are endless uses for this paint...and it isn't limited to vertical surfaces. Vases, clay pots, napkin rings, table tops, frames...let your imagination soar.
Chalkboard paint from Hudson Paint.
Not just basic black...they have over 30 colors available.
Cool!

I was in a home where one of the walls in the kids room was painted with this paint. I'd never heard of it but the kids were having a blast with the chalk...made it personal to them!
What an excellent idea!
I have a pantry door I'd love to do this on. But it has panels so it's not totally flat, therefore, not a good writing surface :(
LOVE your blog. It's fun! I'm following you now :)
What a cool idea.
I had never heard of it before.
A pat for Trux.
That's a great idea. I almost did the same thing a few years ago!
How cool that it comes in different colors! Great idea!
That is officially *awesome*!
i'm dying to paint a wall with chalkboard paint, and now I will have so many colors to choose from!
SMART!!!! I dont know if they have chalkboard paint here..I'll go find some, though I am sure the kids will scribble all over..as usual :P
Yum, look at the colors-makes a world of difference. We lost quite a bit of kitchen in the move, black would be too overpowering. Thanks for introducing me to all of these color options!
What a GREAT idea! I've heard of doing kids' rooms with it (finally - it's OK to write on the walls), and I really like the idea of the closet door.
How smart of the company to make different colors...
