View from the back deck

After a suggestion from my mother, we decided to stain the boards for the top of the ramada before putting them on...progress was halted a bit this weekend due to lack of stain.

Everything gets a bit brown and dried out come summertime.

Life in the high desert.

It probably is easier to stain after, but not if it breaks your momentum. Sometimes, it's just better to move forward. <3

Your mom is right. It is a lot easier to stain that before putting it up, especially if it's a stain that runs/drips while brushing it on. Doing that overhead is no fun. I've done a lot of it.

You are going to have many interesting shadows under your ramada. I can see it now!
