Elf re-do

I was asked back to Santa Land...this time for help decorating the exterior.  Working outside in 40 degree-snow-any-moment weather is a bit interesting.  Manual dexterity goes out the window when your fingers are frozen.

On another note, remember how nice the inside looked when we were finished?

Now it is trashed.

The local ski resort has been selling lift tickets out of this building. Evidently, customers have been allowing their children to run amok. Packages are knocked over, fluffy snow is destroyed, the spray snow on the windows now has finger marks and smiley faces drawn in it and will have to be washed off......the little darlings.

During one of my visits to Santa Land, a worker told me about the events that would be taking place in that space .... and I wondered about how the decor would fare .... I was right to wonder!

Keep those fingers warm today!

Kids are evil. :D

It looks really lovely! Makes me want to start decorating already!

The little heathens!!! What are their parents thinking!!! We run into this all the time...I usually grab their lil' snotty hands and take them back to their mother and ask her to keep her child out of my candles...but why don't they get it!!!

I know. Seriously irritating. My mother would have never let us destroy anything.

Don't you love kids!??? At least you have a photo to remember it by.
Check your fingers for frost bite...

Love your window display. Parents don't seem to think anything of turning their kids loose in shops. Bad manners all the way around. My kids would not have dared do that sort of thing. Respect for the work & property of others was & is a biggy at our house.

What a wonderful scene you set, Charmaine.... glad you have the photos to remember how nice it all looked.
As for the parents that 'allowed' their children to ruin the decorations for everyone else, it's like I've always said. There should be I.Q. tests for potential parents, animal owners and drivers...

Ah, the youth of today. At least it was beautiful, once. I hope you take an "after" photo. for laughs.

Letting kids run amuck is so discourteous. Parents aren't doing their kids any favors by not teaching them respect for others and self control.

That is such a drag! You'd think people would mind their children and the children would be mesmerized and just LOOK.

Ugh! Who lets their kid do this? Seriously. A new generation of entitled children are being raised because parents won't reign them in and use the simple phrase, "NO!"
