"To me, being grown-up meant smoking cigarettes, drinking cocktails, and dressing up in high heels and glamourous outfits."
~ Lorna Luft
This dress...
adorned with this pin...
and this apron while serving...
while balancing on these kitten heels.
Champagne cocktail, anyone?
“When her guests were awash with champagne and with gin,
She was recklessly sober, as sharp as a pin.
An abstemious man would reel at her look,
As she rolled a bright eye and praised his last book.”
~ William Plomer

Yes please.....Happy Christmas Charmaine, xv.
NIce selection! There's a lot of beautiful dresses in that shop.
The enameling on the ice bucket and glasses is outstanding - nice for any time of the year!
You're taking me back to the parties me mum and dad used to have, aprons and high heels...remember click- clacking around the house in mom's best heels...thanks for the memories!!!
That ice bucket makes me reconsider my love affair with beer! Simply stunning!
Ah! glamour
I remember it dimly from the distant past.....
merry merry, dear Charmaine
So Stylish,
Love the pin.
Pretty Glasses.
Here's a toast to you.

Yvonne
I'm right there with Lorna Luft!
Merry Christmas!!
I grew up watching and loving "The Dick Van Dyke Show", where Rob and Laura always hosted wonderful and witty cocktail parties, as did my own Mother and Father. To this day, despite marriage, kids and mortgage, I still do not feel like an official grown-up only because I have neither attended nor hosted such a fabulous soiree as those I witnessed as a child. Sigh. Love your fab selection!
That brooch! Those heels! Those glasses!
BTW, I'm SO excited the sugarless frosting was a hit! Made my morning to hear that.
