Is that a stove front, boy they made some beauties back in the day...I think of you and Mark when I'm out antiquing and see beautiful ironwork like this.
The iron is leaving such an intricate shadow on the wall. I like how we don't see the art of the iron, yet the complexity of the shadow replicates the original design...
Love those intricate shadows and what a great idea to incorporate it into a gate! You crafty clever thing you! Be sure to share pics of the completed project :)

Look like lace - I love the detail that used to go into every day items.
Wow, that's beautiful. We use something like that in front of our fireplace when it's not in use.
xo
Yes, an old stove front.
I have plans of using it as detail in a gate...we'll see...
Beautiful indeed!

I like this shadow a lot. Almost spooky.
I see a touch of lace from this hard iron shadow.
Happy SSS to you!
Where do you find such beauties? I do hope your plans to incorporate it into a gate eventuate - I'd love to see the results.

This is a fun one, and I believe I would have missed it. Good eyes!
That shadow is so dark it looks solid!
Sturdy but delicate at the same time. Ooh, a gate, eh? Very cool!

Yeah well...I've had it for at least 18 months and it hasn't transformed itself into a gate yet. Might be a while...
Very nice, I like the darkness.
