I received this package of postcards from Malacca, a place I'd never heard of until recently.
M. Kate, a self-proclaimed travel-holic, and author of La Vie Est Belle blog, describes her part of the world and posts some of the most amazing pictures. I have a sudden longing to travel to Malaysia and wear kebayas and sarongs. Specifically this beautiful pairing (photo courtesy VirtualMalaysia.com)
Thanks for the peek M. Kate!

ooh..they look gorgeous!
Doesn't it look beautiful?
Exotic elegance. Yeah, I want some of that. How nice it is that you've befriended people from around the world to share things with. Blogging really has the potential to open up the world.
They're lovely. How lucky are you getting all this mail. You should perhaps be tipping your postie for the all the deliveries he makes to your place!
I was fortunate enough to visit Malaysia a few years ago & loved it. They have crazy monkeys running around all over the place! My funniest memory is of one of the cheeky monkeys sneaking up to my friend & I while walking through a park & he snatched my icecream from me. Why he couldn't have stolen my friends icecream instead I'll never know. Grrr. & the cheeky little bugger ran away so quickly that I couldn't even see if he enjoyed it or not. I'm sure he did though. I remember it being very yummy. What little of it I had...
Beautiful !!!
and so I come here to leave my comment and am transfixed by heyharriet's story of the monkeys!!
I love reading blogs!!
So awesome and Harriet's story is cool. That would have been me ... losing the ice cream. I could be in a crowd of 1,000 and some monkey would pick my treat to siphon.

How fun is this?! Thanks for sharing the "world" with the rest of us... my flat head had no idea! Very interesting. Doesn't it just figure that our little "Hey Harriet" has been there, done that... she's such a gad-about, she is. (A bit stingy with her ice cream, isn't she?!)
Love your blog, Diva!
how gorgeous!
Just wanted to say Hi from Istanbul:) Luckily I am here thru dear Kate's journal. Very inspiring page, and I'm fascinated with the fabulous creations(the jewelries) as it's also my hobby when/if I find some time from my daily routine.
All the Best.

My dearest Diva, I clicked on your link and thought those postcards looked familiar :) many thanks for "promoting" me, hehehe..but really I am glad you received them!! and I intend to send one everytime i travel, so I have an upcoming trip to either penang or the cameron highland (last weekend trip was hijacked, heavy rain @ camerons and 2 sick rabbits, bought them for USD10 but the vet cost us USD30!!). You have a fantastic week ahead :)
as for hey harriet, i wonder where did she encounter the monkey?? would be interesting :)
My daughter, Annika, had her little juice pack snatched right out of her hand when she was 3. At that time, she thought one of us did it. But it was one of the nearby 15 monkeys that had gathered around us, when we were walking in the tropical forest, near our home. Now she's 7 & we live in Tokyo & walk among cherry blossom trees.
