"Everything is connected. Connectivity is going to be the key to addressing these issues, like contaminants and climate change. They're not just about contaminants on your plate. They're not just about the ice depleting. They're about the issue of humanity. What we do every day -- whether you live in Mexico, the United States, Russia, China ... can have a very negative impact on an entire way of life for an entire people far away from that source."

Ripples on the water - you have no idea how far they travel.
Every little bit counts/matters. I wish people could understand that *fingers crossed*
Yes, it's all about 'connectivity' & they are great words. Thanks for sharing that & I hope you have a Happy Earth Day :)
Y'know, I never knew it was Earth Day until I logged onto my computer and as Google is my homepage, the logo seemed different to the others.
Thanks for sharing this!
Wonderful post for a beautiful planet.
thanks for sharing. It is all true about the ripples and connectivity. Wish more people would show concern and work together to make a differnce.
I have become sooo more thoughtful towards the earth...and appreciating all we have because of it!
Hi charmaine...so stupid of me, a typo error..guess i was too excited to celebrate your 21st anniversary...hehehe, but really i love that particular post :)
happy earth day :)
I was wondering when Earth Day was. You answered my question! (As I type, a jack rabbit is hopping quickly past my window. I wonder if I should tell him it's Earth Day.)
I hope things turn around, that we can all come together, live in peace and heal this beautiful earth.
Yeah...this definitely sums it up. Thanks for sharing this!
I'm convinced all it takes is a brief conscientious effort to consider before you take any action "how will this affect the world around me". A lot of people are numb to this, but I would like to believe a lot would take pause. It's that flint that needs awakening. We need to instill this in the children...
Great blog entry, Diva! You're a good egg, and have a great heart. Can't help but wonder what the world will be like (weather, water, ice caps, no ice caps...) in another 25 years. As a person sharing space on the planet it's scary. As a parent, with a child just beginning their path to adulthood, it's heartstopping.
Thanks for helping "us" help "them"...

It is really unbelievable that some people do not even THINK about the world we are living in. Driving in huge cars... taking long showers... constantly unneeded electricity use... trowing everything in the garbage instead of recycling... I can go on and on. I really get angry, and the bad thing is the big things are in big men's hands.
Did you know that quite a while ago a man made car tires which had a durability of 50 years?? You know tires are the most difficult garbage to get rid of... you know what happened? One BIG tire company bought the recipe for making those tires and threw it away. Just so that he could keep on selling his tires for money and could keep on going making the world a bad place....
THEY ARE DISTROYING THIS WORLD FOR MONEY!!! Like all the 'big guys' do :(((
Sorry for my long comment and typos...
true that.....
Great quote! Happy Earth Day :~)
