One of my favorite mantelscapes...
My sister-in-law, Nancy, gets it just right...
the mix of colors, textures, interesting objects...
love it!
She also has this monogrammed doorknob on display...I adore decorative hardware.

I alsways love homes full with treasures :)
I love the browns and creams together. This is my kind of stuff! :)
So lovely, especially that knob.
Is it possible to have a family resemblance thru decorating even when it's not a blood relative? I can see why you love her work so.
Beautiful, the feathers are a perfect addition bringing a softened texture as well as height. LOVE it!
So many beautiful things on display... love it!

looks great, I love the little bird. And mantlescape, what a great word!
: )
Gorgeous!
When I try and do the same thing it just looks like clutter. Maybe it's the Bionicles?
Love the mixture of the white pieces and the dark wood pieces!
so beautiful! I love the vase of pheasant (?) feathers--i have a feather fixation though!
Oh yes she does! The pheasant feathers are my favorite!
Gorgeous! I love the feathers she put in the vase.
Great display! My Mom always picks great pieces for her mantel also. I remember her "making" the mantel when I was little. She had a huge piece of wood and she beat it with a piece of chain and stained it. I'll have to get a picture someday.
OH! i want a monogrammed doorknob.
cool :P but we all dont have mantel piece here
Wow, fabulously gorgeous!!
I like mantels like that...so many different and interesting things to look at.
Hi I just found your blog via M-9lanie and love it. Several months back I posted about the spelling of mantel -- and boy did I get mail! Good luck on your web site. I'll be back to check it out.
