Weebly

Just a follow up on Weebly, the template based website I'm using for my design biz.

I'm very unhappy with their service. Since July 25th, I've submitted three requests for help, and have yet to receive any. At this point, I would not recommend them to anyone.

They receive an F.

that is good to know.
I always like honest reviews, so thank you for that I know to stay away from them.

Good to know. I think it's important to express real dissatisfaction as well as satisfaction. If you can ever get in touch, do you think there's a chance you can get out of the deal? Don't they have a phone number??

Thanks for sharing your experience, Diva. I've been playing with their site and love the way it works. After reading your post, I think we'll stay with Yahoo web hosting. You may want to look into that. They have templates, or you can make your own (which is what I do). We only pay $12.95 per month and get tons of space we will never use.

I am happy to get the info but sad to see you are going through this issue. What a bummer that their customer service is sucky :( Can you call instead?

Weebly is free which may be part of the problem.

I haven't found a phone number yet!

Have you tried synthasite? I believe their support is pretty good, and its also free.

Thank you. I researched a bunch of sites yesterday, but I hadn't heard of synthasite.

Good to know, thanks for sharing. Sorry it has been such a let down.

You might also want to try ComfyPage. Its a template based website builder that lets you upload your own templates if you so desire.

I'm actually one of the guys that runs it. We have someone in Montreal, Canada and myself in Perth, Australia (timezones 12 hours apart) so emails get answered quickly pretty much 24/7 :)

Hang in there:)

I use one called CandyPress...It's pretty good if you want to look into them.

Sorry to hear about your sucky experience with weebly but thanks for the heads up. Hope you get it sorted soon. Or at least find a better alternative.

Oh dear, I feel so terrible for recommending them!!

They've been really great responding to my questions.. it's a shame that it isn't consistent!

Another site that I chose Weebly over is moonfruit.com I browsed the already made websites and they're amazing.. the reason why I didn't choose them is because the free package has obvious advertising (along the side I think)... but flexibility of website design is a lot more advanced than Weebly thus making it easier to add things etc.

you could check out edicy, they're brand new but might be what you're looking for.

That is really good to know..Have to admit, don't think I could use any web site, lucky I can work blogspot, I am not too swift on the computer.

I am so sorry Weebly hasn't been good to you. How disappointing! It is good that you share your experience. That way, they won't be rewarded for bad customer service!!! I am still pretty happy with gigshowcase.com
If you can get out of your Weebly arrangement.
