We spent the weekend with other artists at the cabin at the base of the hill leading to Timberline Lodge.
There's a glass studio in the basement of the cabin. Mark had the opportunity to take a lamp-work class (I learned how to fuse glass...pictures tomorrow)
And, of course, there was ironwork. This panel was made by Darryl Nelson of Meridian Forge. Darryl teaches blacksmithing classes every month at the art cabin. www.artscabins.org

I would love to learn how to fuse/blow glass! Great shots. The ironwork is incredible.
Looks like fun and a beautiful space!
Wow. That sounds like a lot of fun. I've started life drawing again which has been really great! I find there is nothing more inspiring than working around or with other artists.
How cool that you and Mark had such a fun outing! What a great setting for it all too. What is the picture (shadow shot) of? I have a statue that looks so similar to her...

Great weekend! I bet you both had so much fun!
Karen,
She's a 1930's golf trophy. I think she's divine.
Wow, an Art Cabin. And someone like-minded to share it with -- sounds like heaven to me :-)
Nice shot! Beautiful work!! What a fun place to be:D
What a fun weekend! I'm so jealous! I learned to fuse glass a couple of years ago at the Spokane Art School, but I haven't done any fusing at all since we've lived in Oregon... *sigh*
Can't wait to see what you've made!
♥
